13 Countries That Produce the Most Titanium in the World

After several arresting articles about minerals, we are here to show you Insider Monkey’s brand new list about the  13 countries that produce the most titanium in the world. It can be found on six continents and several countries. Now, we are going to deal with the countries with the largest titanium producing.

It’s an incredibly strong metal, exactly like steel; and it’s also less dense like steel. All these properties make titanium so important in various industries, as many alloys are made of it. For example its alloys are used in airplanes, as these alloys are low density materials, and make flying less costly. What’s more, we can find this material in spaceships as well, as another useful property of titanium is its ability to withstand extreme temperatures.

As the United States needs extramely large quantities of titanium, but it has limited reserves, it has to rely on imports. Therefore the value of titanium import is worth about $840 million. The largest imports of titanium come from South Africa (36%), then from Australia (26%), and Canada (11%).

And now without a further ado, let’s take a look at the 13 countries that produce the most titanium in the world.
